It was a great show though you are only allowed to take photographs for the first 3 songs, its a case of set up, get in and out with as many shots as you can in a short space of time. Adam was nice to me though, he opened with a 10 minute version of “Round Here”.

When I shot Sir Tom Jones during the summer we were only allowed 90 seconds LOL

Not far off actually, Our shots had to be vetted and any where he was obviously sweating had to be removed.

One of the biggest challenges with shooting gigs is that you can’t use flash. This is a real problem when the light is overwhelmingly blue. Thats one of the reasons you see so many black and white gig shots. Blue lights suck!!

I’ll bear that in mind. When I attend concerts, I’m usually in the cheap seats, so my pictures are always blurry splashes of indistinct colour. I’m like, “That speck in the middle is John Mayer, see?” I get the funniest “If you say so…” looks. I need a better camera. Or more expensive seats.
